The most despized sexual casts currently include transsexuals, transvestites, fetishists, sadomasochists, sex workers such as prostitutes (…) as sexual behaviour or ocupations fall lower on scale, the individuals who practice them are subjected to a presumption of mental illness, disreputability, criminality, restricted social and physical mobility, loss of institucional support and economic sanctions (Rubin1992:279).
